Wu-Tang Forever

This economy still has everyone down, the weather is cold and those that work, work harder and longer these days. It's at that point that we look for some distractions from reality. For me, it's about listening to beats, rap, Hip Hop. I listen to lots of music, from r&b to alternative all they way to Mexican including cumbia's, rancheras and banda. Lately however I've been about the Wu-Tang Clan. There's something about the way Rza, Mathematics and other Wu producers make their music that matches todays challenges. It feels like the soundtrack for the recession. From eery guitar and string samples to the horns in Ghostface's Slow Down, Wu music matches this time period exactly. If you're new to the Wu or have at all forgotten them a bit, go back and listen starting with the first album, Enter the Wu-Tang, to Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Links, to GZA/Genius' Liquid Swords to Ghostface's Supreme Clientele and over to Method Man's Tical, ODB until Wu-Tang Forever. All this Wu also has me pumped for the new Rae that's dropping soon. Don't overlook the dude, he's stayed true to himself, to the Wu and its fans so support that record. That's it for now, whats ur fav Wu album?
